CEO
George is the Executive Vice President of the Tan Holdings Group overseeing the logistics, distribution, fishing, insurance and petroleum divisions of Tan Holdings.
Richard Hawes
Founder/Managing Director
Richard spent 5 years with the LVMH Group as CFO Guam. In 2004, Richard founded the Gemkell Group.
Prior to that he spent 15 years in Public Accounting predominantly working with KPMG in the UK and Australia
Angie Saad
General Manager – Gemkell Group
Angie has 28 years of experience in the luxury retail management. She spent 19 years in different management capacities and brands within the Guam LVMH Group.
Angie joined Gemkell Group as Retail Operations Manager for Gemkell Saipan before being promoted to General Manager for Gemkell Group.
Edna HEchtman
General Manager – Hawaii
Edna started her retail career with Inter-Pacific Hawaii Retail Group in the 90s. She has extensive merchandising experience in luxury brands as well as resort apparel.
In 2018, Edna joined the Gemkell Group as General Manager for Gemkell U.S.A – Hawai’i territory. She oversees operations, merchandising and product development.

Our continued success has been founded upon recruiting and training highly motivated individuals from a multi-cultural background as well as maintaining strong relationships with exclusive luxury brands and collaborating closely with our Landlords. Our commitment to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients remains paramount and is a testament of our success. The journey of Gemkell from its humble beginnings with one brand and four employees to now operating in three countries with ten stores and having worked with over 200 employees has been a privilege and the fulfilment of an entrepreneurial dream.
